On March 28 the Canada Council for the Arts celebrated it's 50th Anniversary. As part of the celebrations the Council invited 50 recipients, one from each year of the council, to Ottawa. These artists along with students attended the 50th Anniversary Arts Mentoring workshop and lunch. The various disciplines branched off into different areas with students sitting in with the professionals to talk about their carreers, experiences and listened intently to the stories. They came prepared with lots of questions and seemed quite excited for this rare and once in a life time opportunity. My goal is to try to create my own project since you don't see any great jobs you can get.
Can any one provide any hints or web pages as to how to get government grant money to start with my personal small business? I have been looking over the internet but each and every website demands for money and I've been told by the unemployment office to avoid the sites that ask for money for grant related information because they are rip-offs. I'd be really grateful for any assistance.
