On May 31, The Great Canadian Thearte Co. in conjunction with the Ottawa Folk Festival, resurrected Accoustic Waves which ran for 23 years for one final round on Gladstone Avenue. Ottawa singer-songwriters Lynn Miles and Steve Marriner along with David Francey who lives just down Hwy. 7 in Elphin made magic to a sold out house. Backing the group was Shane Simpson and making his first ever appearance was Tony D. A very special surprise guest was Ian Tamlyn who was the founder of the Accoustic Waves series. CBC was in the house as well to record the event for it's Bandwidth and Canada Live radio programs. The big news is that Accoustic Waves will continue when the Great Canadian Theatre Company opens at it's new location in the brand new Irving Greenberg Thearte Centre building at 1233 Wellington St. West at the corner of Holland Ave..http://www.gctc.ca/, http://www.davidfrancey.com/, http://www.lynnmilesmusic.com/, http://www.stevemarriner.com/, http://www.tamblyn.com/, http://www.tonydband.com/, http://www.shanesimpson.com/, http://www.ottawafolk.org/, http://www.cbc.ca/
