This post is different in that I am doing it before the event. The NCC as part of 1857 - A Capital Choice Celebrations is putting on this fantastic show at the new Lebreton Flats Festival Plaza. This grand event will feature conductor Richard Bradshaw leading two free evenings of opera highlights, with internationally acclaimed Canadian Artists, the Canadian Opera Company Orchestra and the Opera Lyra Ottawa Chorus. This is one of the key events commemerating the 150th Anniversary of Queen Victoria's choice of Ottawa as the Capital of Canada. These concerts also provide an excellent lead-up to the Canada Day Celebrations for our 140th birthday. Prelude starts at 8 PM and the shows get underway at 8:30 PM.
