10TH ANNIVERSARY BLACK & WHITE OPERA SOIREE

Ms. Darrell Louise Gregerson, CEO of the NAC Foundation and Mr. Peter Herrndorf, CEO of the NAC, welcome guests at the door as they arrive.

Ms. Foster and Ms. Oda are with Mr. Lawson Hunter, Chair of the Black & White Opera Soriee Committee, is an Executive Vice President with Bell Canada, and Ms. Moya Greene, President and CEO of Canada Post.

The 10th Anniversary was an Artistic and Financial success. This year's event raised a record setting total of $440,000 that will be shared equally between Opera Lyra Ottawa and the National Arts Centre Orchestra. School's out on Monday, February 26 and I passed by this beautiful little park with everyone have a great time at the neighbourhood rink. With temperatures at -3 C and the sun beaming down it was a picture perfect Canadian winter's day.

TERRIBLE FIRE IN HINTENBURG



A devastating fire at 187 Forward Ave. on Monday Feb 12, 2007 left over 40 people homeless, over $500,000 in damages and several firefighters were injured when they went in the third floor to help a man escape from the third floor. These pictures were taken the day after with all the water freezing with the cold temperatures.
