The CHUM Market Media Mall

The Chum building includes the A Channel TV station along with four radio stations. The Flagship CFRA 580 AM station is currently a Talk/News/Information station that involves itself greatly in the Ottawa Community. It is celebrating it's 60th Anniversary this year.

At the NCC Info Centre, Ice Carving Artists get set to work their magic on the blocks of frozen water. I can't be sure but it looks like they are making a smaller version of the building across the street.

Things always change. That's just the way it is. Turpin Pontiac Buick GMC moved west and in it's place will be a new Canadian Tire Store.

A Beautiful Sight

With Winterlude starting just six day's from when the picture was taken, a lot of hardworking people are glad to see the canal open again. This is only a small crowd compared to how many will be here for the largest Winter Festival in Canada.

PARLIAMENT LIT UP FOR CHRISTMAS

Ottawa is celebrating it's 150th Anniversary of being named the Capital of Canada. During this year of celebrating, I will post lot's of pictures of how Ottawa is this year, 150 years later. I will try to capture the Landmarks, the Festivals, street scenes, nature and some people that make this a great place to live. Also included will be some of the out-lying areas that Ottawan's enjoy as being part of the National Capital Area. I'm a music junkie so I will try to include many of the artist's and venue's that feed my habit. I am knew to Blogging so bear with me as I get the hang of working with this medium.
